Rana Daggubati’s Haathi Mere Saathi release date pushed back due to rising COVID-19 cases in the country

The release dates of a few films have been pushed back keeping in mind the rising cases of COVID-19 in the country. Today the makers of Haathi Mere Saathi and Punjabi film Puaada issued statements regarding the postponement of the film release dates.

We have gone through some turbulent times since the past year and the situation hasn't changed much. While we thought everything was getting back to normalcy, the sudden rise in Covid cases are worrisome. Given the current situation, Eros International has decided to hold back the release of their upcoming release, Haathi Mere Saathi, the Hindi version from the trilingual adventure drama starring Rana Daggubati, Pulkit Samrat, Shriya Pilgaonkar and Zoya Hussain. However, Eros Motion Pictures will be releasing Aranya and Kaadan, the Telugu and Tamil versions respectively.

Ammy Virk’s Punjabi film Puaada pushed due to rise in COVID-19 cases

The makers of the Punjabi film Puaada have also postponed the release due to increasing coronavirus cases. Featuring Ammy Virk and Sonam Bajwa in lead roles, the Punjabi film was supposed to hit the theatres on 2 April. If released on time, the desi romantic comedy would have been the first big Punjabi film to hit the big screens this year. “Due to the rising cases of COVID-19 and new guidelines for cinemas with weekend and night curfews of theatres, we have decided to postpone our movie Puaada until further notice," the statement reads.
