Irrfan's son Babil Khan slams journalists who asked if he was 'high' at Filmfare Awards 2021, says 'will use that look to make millions in Bollywood'

Babil Khan made his first Filmfare Awards appearance to receive an award on behalf of his late father Irrfan. The actor was posthumously conferred with the Best Actor in a Leading Role (Male) award for Angrezi Medium as well as Lifetime Achievement Award. Babil walked the red carpet and posed for pictures happily. However, he was left upset due to the behaviour of a few journalists who allegedly asked Babil if he was intoxicated.

Babil, on his Instagram stories, spoke about the incident and wrote, "Just wanted to share with yall that I attended the Filmfare awards yesterday and 7 journalists asked me if i was high just because of the shape of my eyes. well done guys. great inquisitive research that you have conducted because I have been pure natural since I left university. really good job. you made me feel so nice by telling me that my natural face looked like I was high. thank you so much for that. I will use that look and make millions in Bollywood."

Babil, for the 66th Filmfare Awards 2021 on March 27, wore his father Irrfan's indigo coloured kurta. For the unversed, Irrfan had worn the kurta by Rajesh Pratap Singh in 2017 as he turned the showstopper at Van Heusen + GQ Fashion Nights.
