Akshay Kumar, Jacqueline Fernandez and Nushrratt Bharuccha have teamed up for Abhishek Sharma's upcoming film titled Ram Setu. The much-awaited project will see Akshay play the role of an archaeologist. Though not much about Ram Setu has been revealed, the makers are aiming "to keep alive the ideals of Ram in the consciousness of all Bharatiyas by building a bridge (setu) that will connect generations to come."
Today, Ram Setu will be going on floors. Akshay, on Instagram, shared his look from the film and wrote, "The journey of making one of the most special films for me begins today. #RamSetu shooting begins! Playing an archaeologist in the film. Would love to hear your thoughts on the look? It always matters to me." Akshay is one of those rare actors who doesn't take a break and focuses on his work. The actor dived into Ram Setu's shoot right after wrapping Atrangi Re.
Ram Setu is produced by Aruna Bhatia under Cape of Good Films and Abundantia Entertainment's Vikram Malhotra and Lyca Productions. SubasKaran & Mahaveer Jain join forces with Cape Of Good Films and Abundantia Entertainment for Ram Setu. Amazon Prime Video will be the co-producer. The release date of Ram Setu is yet to be announced. The mahurat shot took place on March 18 in Ayodhya.
