In January 2020, Shashank Khaitan had announced his film titled Mr. Lele with Varun Dhawan. However, in March last year, the filmmaker informed that the film has been put on the back burner due to date issues. But now, a year later, it is being said that the project has been revived with a new cast. According to an entertainment portal's report, Vicky Kaushal and Kiara Advani are now playing the lead in Shashank's much-talked-about film.
A source close to the development told the portal that Vicky and Kiara started shooting for Mr. Lele in the city last week. "Kiara Advani and Vicky Kaushal started shooting for the film last week in Mumbai. For now, they will be filming in the city and will then move to other locations depending on the Covid situation there," the source shared.
Vicky and Kiara shared the screen space in Karan Johar's anthology, Lust Stories, on Netflix. Reportedly, Bhumi Pednekar will be joining Vicky and Kiara in the comic-thriller. Mr. Lele is produced by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions. The first look of Mr. Lele with Varun was shared in January 2020.
