Amitabh Bachchan, on Thursday, got himself the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. In the month of March, the 78-year-old Bollywood megastar wrote a blog and hinted that he got himself registered for the vaccine. In July 2020, Mr. Bachchan along with Abhishek, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Aaradhya Bachchan had tested positive for COVID-19.
The veteran actor tweeted about receiving the first dose of the vaccine. "Got it done ! My CoviD vaccination this afternoon .. All well," he wrote. After taking the first dose of vaccine, Mr. Bachchan shared on his blog that his entire family got vaccinated except son Abhishek, who isn't in Mumbai at present. "DONE .. vaccination done .. all well .. did Covid test for family and staff yesterday .. results came today .. all good , all negative .. so done the vaccine .. all family done except Abhishek .. he be on location and shall do it on return soon in a few days .. .," he said.

On the other hand, Rohit Shetty also took the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. Sharing a picture, the filmmaker wrote, "Action and Stunts are for movies don’t try to be a khatron ke khiladi in real life, get vaccinated. It is the only way to fight COVID. Got myself vaccinated today. Thanks to the staff of Nanavati hospital, the procedure was very well organised."
On the other hand, Malaika Arora who tested Coronavirus positive last year in September also took the vaccine. Sharing a photo of herself taking the shot she applauded the frontline health workers who are working hard to ensure everybody keep safe.
She captioned her post, " I took the first dose of the COVID vaccine. Because #wereinthistogether ! Lets go warriors, lets win this #WarAgainstVirus. Dont forget to take yours soon !( n a special mention to our amazing frontline workers , who were so caring n vigilant n went about doin everything with a smile) THANK YOU (and yes I am eligible to take the vaccine)."
