Scientists and the medical team in India are predicted that the country is witnessing the second wave of COVID-19. Though precautions are being taken, the rapid and alarming spread of the virus is indeed frightening. Bollywood too has come under COVID-19's grip. After Alia Bhatt, Akshay Kumar has also tested positive for Coronavirus. The superstar was shooting for Ram Setu.
Akshay, on social media, issued a statement about his diagnosis. "I wish to inform everyone that, earlier this morning, I have tested positive for COVID-19. Following all the protocols, I have immediately isolated myself. I'm under home quarantine and have sought necessary medical care. I would sincerely request all those that have come in contact with me to get themselves tested and take care. Back in action very soon!" he wrote.

Before starting the shoot of Ram Setu, Akshay wrapped Atrangi Re with Sara Ali Khan and Dhanush. He was the first Bollywood superstar to resume work after the COVID-19 lockdown with Bell Bottom followed by Bachchan Pandey, Prithviraj, Atrangi Re and now Ram Setu.
In the month of March, celebrities like Ranbir Kapoor, Kartik Aaryan, Paresh Rawal, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Manoj Bajpayee, Siddhant Chaturvedi and several others had tested positive.
