Twinkle Khanna pens a poem on uncertain times as husband Akshay Kumar undergoes treatment for COVID-19


While India is still struggling in its fight against the COVID-19 pandemic, the second wave of novel coronavirus has hit the country hard. After several Bollywood and TV celebrities, superstar Akshay Kumar also tested positive for Coronavirus on Sunday. Now, his wife, actress turned author Twinkle Khanna has penned a poem as Akshay is undergoing treatment at a Mumbai hospital. 

She also shared a video from her garden where her coffee mug can be seen. She wrote, "A series of todays. All the same. Leftover rainwater in a pothole. The future, a battered road that stretches as far as the eye can see. What else can we do to delight the heart except float paper boats of the past across these stagnant puddles (sic).”

On April 5, Akshay Kumar took to social media to inform his fans and followers that he had been hospitalised for Covid-19. He wrote, “Thank you everyone for all your warm wishes and prayers, they seem to be working. I am doing fine, but as a precautionary measure under medical advice, I have been hospitalised. I hope to be back home soon. Take care (sic).”

In the past month, Aamir Khan, Kartik Aaryan, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Manoj Bajpayee, Siddhant Chaturvedi, Bhumi Pednekar, Paresh Rawal, Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor, Govinda and Katrina Kaif were among the few Bollywood celebs who tested positive for Covid-19.
