Shefali Shah joins Ayushmann Khurrana and Rakul Preet Singh in Doctor G as Dr. Nandini

Shefali Shah is on a signing spree! The actress who will be seen in Karan Johar's Netflix anthology Ajeeb Daastaans has an exciting lineup of films ahead of her. While Shefali is gearing up for Ajeeb Daastaans' release on April 16, she has joined Ayushmann Khurrana and Rakul Preet Singh in Anubhuti Kashyap's Doctor G

Shefali will be playing the role of Dr. Nandini. Welcoming her on board, Junglee Pictures tweeted, "We're so glad to announce that Shefali Shah will be joining the cast of Doctor G. Cheers!" Not much about Shefali's role has been disclosed.

Doctor G revolves around Dr. Uday (played by Ayushmann) who is the only male gynecologist in the whole department. The film orbits around his character who for nonforcible reason has to choose gynecology as his specialisation. It will highlight how his profession changes him as a person. Doctor G is written by Sumit Saxena, Vishal Wagh and Saurabh Bharat. 

Anubhuti said, "I am thrilled to have Shefali join the team, she plays all her roles with so much ease and nuance— I'm a fan! This being my first film, I'm really looking forward to working with such powerhouses of talent."

Shefali shared, "I am excited to be a part of ‘Doctor G’. The writers including Sumit, Saurabh, Vishal along with Anubhuti have written a fantastic script. I am really looking forward to collaborating with Anubhuti, Ayushmann, Junglee Pictures and the amazing team!"

Amrita Pandey, CEO Junglee Pictures told, "When we started casting for Doctor G, the only name that came up for this part was Shefali. We believe she brings gravitas and great energy to this role. We cannot wait to have her on set and make this movie even more special." 

Workwise, Shefali will be seen with Alia Bhatt-Vijay Varma in Darlings, Mozez Singh's Human with Kirti Kulhari and will also be seen in Delhi Crime 2.
