The makers of the upcoming Telugu action-drama Acharya announced Pooja Hegde as the leading lady of Ram Charan in the film. The big announcement was made on the special occasion of Ugadi.
After working together in the superhit Jigel Rani song in the blockbuster film Rangasthalam, Ram and Pooja will share screen space yet again. But this time, the audience will see them do a lot more than just shake a leg together. The team made the announcement of the same on the occasion of Ugadi with a poster that is being received quite well and adding to the already existing buzz around the film. Ram Charan wished everyone a great start to the new year, this Ugadi.

Ram Charan will also be sharing screen space with his father Chiranjeevi in a full-length role for the first time in Acharya. Chiranjeevi played a special appearance in Ram Charan’s Bruce Lee: The Fighter a few years ago.
Acharya has been written and directed by Koratala Siva and is being produced by Ram Charan and Niranjan Reddy under the Konidela Production Company and Matinee Entertainment banners. The action drama which is scheduled to release on May 13, stars Chiranjeevi and Kajal Aggarwal while Ram Charan is playing a crucial role in the film.
