The '90s popular music director Shravan Kumar Rathod, of popular composer duo Nadeem-Shravan, is no more. He was critically ill and in hospital after testing COVID-19 positive a few days back. Shravan, 66, was admitted to Raheja Hospital, Mahim, Mumbai, and passed due to complications caused by the novel coronavirus.
The veteran composer was admitted to the hospital on April 19. His son Sanjeev Rathod told a leading daily that his father was put on ventilator support. Lyricist Sameer revealed that Shravan was diabetic and due to this, his lungs were also affected.
Musicians Nadeem-Shravan were hailed as melody kings back in the nineties era. Some of their superhit tracks include Aashiqui, Dil Hai Ki Maanta Nahin, Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke, Saajan, Sadak, Deewana, and Pardes.
