John Abraham's Satyameva Jayate 2 was all set to clash with Salman Khan's Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai on May 13, 2021. Satyameva Jayate 2, which was earlier supposed to release on May 14, 2021, got preponed by a day and was supposed to release the same days as Salman's Radhe. The announcement was made on March 17. However, due to the second wave of COVID-19 and theatres being shut in most parts of the country, now the makers of Satyameva Jayate 2 have postponed the release of the film.
The team released a statement that read, "In these unprecedented times, nothing matters more than the safety and health of our countrymen & patrons. Our film “Satyameva Jayate 2” will now release on a later date. Till then let’s keep our masks on and do our best to keep our loved ones and ourselves out of harm’s way. Jai Hind."
Director Milap Zaveri shared the news on Instagram and wrote, "Stay Safe India. Be strong. Help those you can. This too shall pass. See you soon at the movies #SatyamevaJayate2"
Satyamev Jayate franchise's first film released in 2018 and featured John with Manoj Bajpayee. The film revolved around a vigilante who goes on a corrupt cop-killing spree. Satyameva Jayate 2 is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar of T-Series, Monisha Advani, Madhu Bhojwani, Nikkhil Advani of Emmay Entertainment.
