Acclaimed Hollywood and Bollywood actor Irrfan (Khan) breathed his last on April 29, 2020, after a long battle with a neuroendocrine tumour. It's been a year but Bollywood isn't able to cope up with the loss. Ahead of his 1st death anniversary, the actor's wife Sutapa Sikdar and elder son Babil I. Khan spoke to an entertainment portal. Babil, who will be making his acting debut opposite Tripti Dimri in Netflix's Qala, revealed his father Irrfan's words to him just two-three days before passing away.
"I was there in the hospital, two-three days before he died. He was losing consciousness and one of the last things he said...he just looked at me, smiled and said 'I am going to die' and I told him 'No you are not'. He then smiled again and went back to sleep," Babil said.
Sutapa, remembering her husband fondly, said his most precious quality was that he never pretended. "I feel the most precious quality about him, was that he never pretended. If he is angry with you, or he is in love with you. Main thing is, when he is in love with you and says 'I love you', he did not pretend. He did not say it, till he meant it," Sutapa told.
Sutapa and Babil are using their social media accounts to keep memories of Irrfan alive. From anecdotes to remembering good old days, they are giving sneak-peek into Irrfan's personal life.
