Ranbir Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor perform online puja for Rishi Kapoor on his first death anniversary

It's been a year since Bollywood superstar Rishi Kapoor passed away after a 2-year-long battle with cancer. On the actor's first death anniversary, wife Neetu Kapoor and son Ranbir Kapoor organized an online Puja. Neetu performed the rituals, with the rest of the family joining in virtually, amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Earlier today, Ranbir and his girlfriend Alia Bhatt arrived at Neetu’s residence for the same. The duo was snapped by the paparazzi outside Neetu's building.

Rishi’s sister Rima Jain told a Bollywood website that she will not attend the memorial ceremony in person, as Mumbai continues to report thousands of COVID-19 cases every day. “Neetu is having an online havan puja, that she and Ranbir will do. We will also be a part of it through Zoom,” she said.

Talking further about Rishi, Rima said, "We miss him, too much has happened in our lives. His going away has also created a great void in our lives. I have lost two brothers (Rishi Kapoor and Rajiv Kapoor), and one brother (Randhir Kapoor) is in hospital, so I am not in a very good frame. Just pray, and I hope his soul rests in peace. I just miss him.”

Rishi left the world of living on April 30, 2020, and Bollywood has not been the same ever since.
