On Tuesday, rumours of Shaktiman actor Mukesh Khanna's death started doing the rounds on the internet. However, the actor soon refuted all such fake reports and condemned the people behind spreading such rumours. The actor posted a video on Instagram saying he was “perfectly alright.” Khanna also slammed those who spread false rumours about him, adding that 'this is the problem with social media.'
Now, in a shocking turn of event, Mukesh has lost his elder sister just a day after his own death hoax. Mukesh's sister died due to congestion in the lungs. Taking to Instagram on Wednesday, he added that she had successfully battled COVID-19 in 12 days. The actor shared a picture with his sister and expressed his grief.
Captioning the post, he wrote in Hindi, "Yesterday I struggled to tell the truth of the false news of my death. But I did not know that a terrible truth is hovering over me. Today my only elder sister Kamal Kapoor has passed away in Delhi, I am very sorry for her death, we have all come into the family. After defeating Covid in 12 days, she was defeated by lung's congestion. Do not know how God is calculating. Really, I am shaken for the first time in my life. Tearful salutations, emotional tribute!"
Earlier, talking about his death rumours, the actor had told a leading daily, he was "fed up" of such things. "I am fed up, literally fed up. I don't know what to say or do to rumour-mongers who are out on such futile exercises which cause only fear, chaos and anxiety. Almost all my friends and relatives have called by now and one fan said he was relieved as he just had a terrible thing in his life when his mother passed away 20 days ago. I feel WhatsApp will close down if such news does not emanate from it," he said.
