Fatima Sana Shaikh is all set to be seen in the Hindi remake of Tamil hit Aruvi. The original film that released in 2017 starred Aditi Balan playing a progressive character as the film focused on the social anguish of a girl. Fatima confirmed being roped in for the project and spoke about the film with much enthusiasm.
She told a leading daily, “At this point I can just say that it is a very interesting subject and a very interesting film. It is about this girl and her journey.”
Since Fatima has previously been a part of multi-starrers like Dangal, Thugs of Hindostan, Ludo, Ajeeb Daastaans this is the first time she will be shouldering the film on her own. Talking about the immense responsibility, the actress said, “Frankly, I haven’t picked up this film thinking if it is based on my character or not. I am only focusing on the fact that I have to play the part with full honesty. As an actor I can only work towards doing the role diligently. I hope people like it.”
Talking about the project, she further told the portal, “I am so glad this project has come to me as there are very few projects where you feel ki yaar yeh toh mujhe hi karna hai. After watching the film I felt that I want to be a part of this project. I know what I am getting into. Even though this is a remake I am sure there will be some freshness introduced to it and I will do my best to add in my own flavor too.”
