India has incurred losses in the past 1 and a half years due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Many people have lost their jobs because of the situation and actors are hopeful that things will be better soon. Now, as the country is once again in lockdown, Ishaan Khatter's father Rajesh Khattar and his wife Vandana Sajnani have utilised almost all their savings. Talking to a leading publication, Vandana said that she faced postpartum depression in May.
The couple has a son named Yuvaan Vanraj Khatar who was born in August 2019. "Last time, I was in the hospital, I really didn't know what was happening out there. I had a postpartum depression in May last year, when the lockdown was at its peak. In fact, from then till now it's been only hospitalisations," Vandana told.
She said their savings have almost dried up while paying hospital bills and the flow of income had stopped because there was no work. "Here we're talking of loads of savings, as actors... loads of savings gone down only in hospitalisations for the whole of last year. Kaam bilkul nahi hua, aur jitni savings thi almost woh bhi hospitalisations mein aur iss do saal ke lockdown mein chali gayi," Vandana shared.
Talking about the second lockdown, she said, "Iss baar bahut dhakka laga hai." Rajesh and his father had tested positive for COVID-19. They were hospitalised. Unfortunately, Rajesh's father couldn't make it and he had to come in an ambulance from the hospital to perform the last rites.
