Sonu Sood’s noble gestures and selfless efforts during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic have inspired many all over the country. He has earned the title of a Messiah and real-life superhero for extending a helping hand towards frontline workers and underprivileged migrants, students and patients, among others. His consistent philanthropy has been lauded by fans, peers and politicians and other eminent personalities. However, the actor and his fans were recently slammed for wastage of milk after videos of fans pouring milk on his photos went viral.
Last week, Sonu had shared a similar video of fans pouring milk on a life-size poster in Andhra Pradesh. The actor shared the tweet and simply wrote, "Humbled." The actor was criticized online for not condemning the wastage. Soon after, TV actor Kavita Kaushik criticized Sonu's fans. "We love @SonuSood and the nation will be indebted to him forever for his selfless acts, but I'm sure even Sonu will be unhappy with this foolish and uninspiring act of wasting milk in times where people are dying of hunger.. why are we so extra always with everything ??!!" she had tweeted.

Now, the actor condemned the act and asked his fans to help the needy instead of wasting milk like that. Addressing the video, Sonu said that he feels 'humbled' by the love shown but requested fans to not waste milk. "Request everyone to save milk for someone needy," he wrote.

Sonu started helping migrant workers last year amid the lockdown and as the second wave of COVID-19 hit India in March this year, the actor helped people with hospital beds, injections, medicines and most importantly oxygen cylinders.
