Actor Randeep Hooda has been facing flak online for an allegedly casteist and sexist joke he shared using the name of Bahujan Samaj Party President Mayawati in an old video that has gone viral. The video did not go down well with a section of netizens who have called the actor's behaviour 'casteist, sexist and also demanded an apology.
Now, actor Richa Chadha has reacted to the controversy. A Twitter user tagged Richa Chadha, Taapsee Pannu, Swara Bhasker, and Konkona Sen Sharma and asked if they would condemn the remarks made by Randeep in the clip that has surfaced, considering all these actresses are quite vocal about topical issues on the micro-blogging site, Richa, in no time quote-tweeted and wrote, "It's a despicable 'joke'. It's crass, tasteless and sexist."

Richa did not stop there as she continued to ask why only women are asked to apologize for their male colleagues. "Yes. It's casteist too. Also, plz explain to the reason why you continue to ask ONLY women to apologise for their male colleagues while you pontificate on sexism. Not holding my breath," she wrote in another tweet.

On the work front, Randeep featured alongside Salman Khan in Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai, which dropped digitally on Eid. Richa, on the other hand, was last seen in the Netflix film Madam Chief Minister.
