Bollywood lost a gem on Monday. Renowned casting director and producer Seher Aly Latif breathed her last in Mumbai after suffering a massive cardiac arrest. According to reports, she was admitted to Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai 8 days ago due to a kidney infection. Seher, who was in her early 40s, suffered renal failure. Seher produced Swara Bhasker's Bhaag Beanie Bhaag and was the casting director for films like Lunchbox and Monsoon Shootout.
Swara, on Instagram, shared pictures and video as she mourned Seher's untimely demise. "There are no words. Seher Latif is no more. This is cruelty. So young, so much to give. Can’t even utter RIP. We spoke only two weeks ago, I teased her & she laughed.. It is unimaginable that we won’t see her wide smile anymore. I can’t fathom this. No, not @smwhtlatelatif ," she wrote sharing unseen pictures. An emotional Swara penned a long note while posting a BTS video.
Nimrat Kaur, the leading lady in The Lunchbox, wrote, "One of the kindest, most loving people Mumbai gifted my life with. Still trying to process this unreal news....Travel on into the light my dearest, sweetest Seher. The unpredictable, ghastly shortness of life remains baffling...Await to meet you on the other side."
Rajkummar Rao shared a picture of Seher on his Instagram stories and offered condolence.
Nikita Dutta posted a picture with Seher on her Instagram stories.
Seher is survived by her husband, parents and a younger brother named Zishaan A Latif, who is an award-winning photographer.
