As Sanjay Leela Bhansali's cult-classic, Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam clocked 22 years today, superstar Salman Khan, who played the lead role in the film celebrated the milestone with a special social media post.
Helmed by SLB, the romantic-drama starred Ajay Devgn (Vanraj), Salman (Sameer) and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan (Nandini). Celebrating 22 years of Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, Salman took to his Instagram to share an unseen BTS picture with the director. He captioned the post as, "Baees saal ho Gaye #HumDilDeChukeSanam ko….. @ajaydevgn #SanjayLeelaBhansali @bhansaliproductions"
In 2019, reports were rife that things were not going great between the actor-director duo after Salman's film with SLB titled Inshallah was shelved due to their 'creative differences'. However, looks like all is well now!
This morning, Ajay Devgn had also shared some throwback photos as the film clocked 22 years. Taking to his social media to celebrate 22 years of Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, Ajay shared, "22 years of Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam; Salman, Sanjay, Ash & I knew we were making a super-sensitive film. Didn’t think though that it would create history. Humbled".
Based on Rashtriyashayar Jhaverchand Meghani's play Shetal ne Kathe, Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam narrates the story of a newly-wed man who discovers that his wife is in love with another man and decides to reunite them.
