Shahid Kapoor has been shooting for his upcoming projects back to back. After the humongous success of Kabir Singh, there is no stopping for the actor. He wrapped the shoot of the Hindi remake of Jersey and also started filming his debut web show with Raj & DK. Now, before Shahid announces his next, rumours are doing the rounds that he has been approached by Nikkhil Advani's team for an action-thriller. Reportedly, Nikkhil, a director and one of the co-founders of Emmay Entertainment, has been planning the film for over a year. A source told an entertainment portal that Shahid has liked the script and the team is working out the modalities.
"Not much is known about the film yet but it is an action thriller that Nikkhil has been planning for over a year now. He wanted an A-list actor from the younger generation to play the lead. He approached Shahid for the same and they have discussed the whole project virtually over a meeting, since Shahid is not in town. Shahid has liked the whole idea and the script and now, the team is trying to work out the modalities, before finalising it," the source told.

Workwise, Shahid has been reportedly roped in by Sujpy Ghosh for his upcoming film. The actor is expected to kickstart the shoot of Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra's adaptation of Mahabharat told through the point of view of Karna after wrapping Sujoy's film. He is also in talks with Shashank Khaitan for Yoddha.
Nikkhil is awaiting the release of Bell Bottom. The film stars Akshay Kumar, Vaani Kapoor, Huma Qureshi and Lara Dutta. Nikkhil is co-producing the film with Jackky Bhagnani, Vashu Bhagnani and Deepshikha Deshmukh's Pooja Entertainment.
