On Wednesday morning, popular actress Mandira Bedi lost her husband, filmmaker Raj Kaushal, to cardiac arrest. Raj, a known producer, was 49. While Mandira and the family is yet to issue a statement, director Onir confirmed the news on Twitter some time ago. Raj had produced Onir's film My Brother Nikhil.
"Gone too soon. We lost Film maker and Producer @rajkaushal1 this morning. Very Sad. He was one of the producers of my first film #MyBrotherNikhil. One of those few who believed in our vision and supported us. Prayers for his soul," Onir tweeted.

According to reports, Raj, who seemed healthy and fit, met his friends Neha Dhupia, Ashish Chowdhry and others on Sunday for lunch. Raj is survived by his wife Mandira, son Vir and daughter Tara Bedi Kaushal. Tara was welcomed into the family via adoption in October 2020.
Workwise, Raj directed films like Pyaar Mein Kabhi Kabhi, Shaadi Ka Laddoo and Anthony Kaun Hai. He tied the knot with Mandira in 1999.
