Dilip Kumar’s health stable, to be discharged from hospital in 2-3 days confirm doctors

There’s some good news coming for the fans of legendary actor Dilip Kumar. The veteran actor was admitted to a hospital on Tuesday morning after he complained of breathlessness due to fluid in his lungs. The 98-year-old has been diagnosed with bilateral pleural effusion. For the unversed, pleural effusion is referred to as the accumulation of fluids between the layers of the pleura outside the lungs. Now, as per latest reports, Dilip Kumar’s condition is stated to be stable and he is expected to be discharged from Mumbai’s PD Hinduja Hospital in 2-3 days.

His family friend Faisal Farooqui had shared an updated on the veteran actor’s Twitter handle and had thanked his well-wishers and fans for their prayers. He had tweeted, “Dilip Saab has been admitted to Hinduja Hospital, Khar to address medical issues related to illness which are frequently expected in a 98 year old. Your love and prayers are truly appreciated by Saab.”

The actor has been admitted quite frequently in the past few months. He was admitted to the same hospital on June 6 due to breathlessness. He was discharged after a successful pleural aspiration procedure. He was admitted for five days last month.

Dilip Kumar’s career has spanned over five decades with one notable performance after another. Some of his most popular films include Mughal-e-Azam, Devdas, Naya Daur, Ram aur Shyam, Saudagar, Shakti and others. His last big screen appearance was in Qila that released in 1998.
