Pay disparity in Bollywood has been the topic of discussion for quite some years. Many top actresses have raised their voices against inequality in the payment received by males and females. While many producers are putting in their best to reduce the gap, we still have a long way to go. Now, Sonam Kapoor Ahuja has shared her opinion on the pay gap in the entertainment industry.
In a statement, Sonam called the pay gap ridiculous. "The pay gap is ridiculous. I can stand up to it, but then I don’t get those roles, and I’m okay with that. I can afford to do that. I realised over the past two or three years that I have no right to judge anybody. I’m privileged, so making difficult choices isn’t really f**king difficult," Sonam told.
Workwise, the actress recently shot for Sujoy Ghosh's Blind. The film was shot in Scotland last year. Blind, directed by Shome Makhija, is about an ex-cop who goes blind in an accident that happens while hunting down a criminal. She then helps the police to solve a hit-and-run case.
Sonam's last film was The Zoya Factor (2019). She made a cameo in her father Anil Kapoor's Netflix film AK vs AK.
