Leaving behind an unmatched legacy, Dilip Kumar bid adieu to the world and embarked on a journey to his heavenly abode. The 98 years old actor passed away this morning in Hinduja Hospital. He is survived by his wife Saira Banu. The cremation will take place at 5 pm today in Santacruz.
The preparation for the state funeral has begun. Police personnel gave Dilip Sahab a salute and paid their last respects. The actor was wrapped in tricolour for the state funeral. This was the beginning of his final journey from home to the Qabristan.

Earlier in the day, CM Uddhav Thackeray had confirmed that Dilip Sahab will be getting a state funeral.
