Sara Ali Khan expressed gratitude as she visited the Kamakhya Temple in Guwahati, Assam while she made a trip to the North-East part of the country. The actress uploaded a series of pictures from her visit to the temple.
In the photos, Sara is seen posing at the temple, wearing a white kurta-pyjama and the traditional Assamese Gamosa. The Gamosa or Gamusa is an article of significance for the indigenous people of Assam, India. It is generally a white rectangular piece of cloth with primarily a red border on three sides and red woven motifs on the fourth (in addition to red, other colors are also used). Sara captioned her post, "#Peace #gratitude #blessed."
For the unversed, The Kamakhya Temple is a Sakta temple dedicated to the mother goddess Kamakhya. It is one of the oldest of the 51 Shakti Pithas. The temple was closed for many days due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The entry of devotees was reportedly restricted till June 30.
