BCCI President Sourav Ganguly confirms his biopic; Ranbir Kapoor to come on board?

Former India captain and current Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) President Sourav Ganguly's biopic is the making for quite some years now. The cricketer, in an interview, confirmed that he has agreed to the biopic. However, Ganguly, who is fondly called Dada, refrained from revealing the name of the director.

Talking to a news portal, Ganguly said, "Yes, I have agreed to the biopic. It will be in Hindi but it is not possible to say the name of the director now. It will take a few more days for arranging everything." According to the portal, the BCCI President has expressed his desire to see Ranbir Kapoor play Dada on the silver screen. The former cricketer reportedly shared that there are two more actors being considered for the role.

The biopic is expected to chart the journey of Ganguly from being a celebrated left-handed opening batsman to India's captain till he becomes the BCCI President. Dada recently faced a health scare after he had to be admitted to a hospital in Kolkata for experiencing pain in his chest.

In 2020, rumours were rife that Ganguly wanted Hrithik Roshan to play him in his biopic.
