Complaint lodged against Kareena Kapoor Khan for hurting religious sentiments over title of her book 'Pregnancy Bible'

On her elder son, Taimur Ali Khan's 4th birthday, Kareena Kapoor Khan announced her new venture. The actress turned author with the book titled Pregnancy Bible, which is co-authored by Aditi Shah Bhimjani. The book is now available for pre-order. Published by Juggernaut Books, Kareena's Pregnancy Bible has various tips, tricks and suggestions for new mothers. As Kareena shared a video showing the book on her Instagram account, a police complaint was filed against her in Beed, Maharashtra.

According to reports, a Christian group raised an objection against the title of Kareena's book. A complaint has been filed against Kareena and two others by Alpha Omega Christian Mahasangh president Ashish Shinde for hurting the sentiments of Christians. A complaint has been reportedly submitted at the Shivaji Nagar Police Station in Beed. As per reports, Shinde mentioned in his complaint that the holy word ‘Bible’ used in the book's title has hurt the religious sentiments of Christians.

He has registered a complaint against Kareena and two others under IPC section 295-A (deliberate and malicious acts, intended to outrage religious feelings of any class by insulting its religion or religious beliefs). A police official told a media agency that the complaint has been received by no FIR has been filed.

"We have received the complaint but no case can be registered here as the incident has not happened here (in Beed). I have advised him to file a complaint in Mumbai," told Shivaji Nagar Police Station in charge Inspector Sainath Thombre.
