Ajay Devgn’s Singham was released on July 22, 2011, which laid the foundation of Rohit Shetty’s cop universe. As the film clocked 10 years today, Ajay wrote a heartfelt note about the film that gave him his most popular role and also informed about its special airing on television. He also dedicated his post to the frontline workers who have been working tirelessly amid the pandemic.
Taking to Instagram, Ajay shared clips from the film and wrote, “Jismein hai dum, toh fakt Bajirao Singham. Singham sirf ek film nahin hai, Singham ek jasba hai, emotion hai, ek salaam hai uss police force ke naam jo apni parwah kiye bina, imandaari aur sachhi nishtha se apna kaam iss desh ki seva mein kar rahe hain.”
He further thanked his fans and wrote, “I want to thank the team and all the fans for the super successful 10 years of Singham. And dedicate it to all the frontline workers out there. Catch the special airing of Singham tonight at 8 PM, only on @stargoldofficial @kajalaggarwalofficial @joinprakashraj @itsrohitshetty.”
Singham also starred Prakash Raj and Kajal Aggarwal and presented Ajay in a cop avatar who was righteous, shrewd and quirky bringing a new dose of humour and panache to the uniformed hero.
