On Tuesday evening, Akshay Kumar, Vaani Kapoor, Lara Dutta, and the makers of BellBottom headed to Delhi to launch the upcoming film. The trailer of BellBottom left viewers spellbound. But what caught everybody's attention was the character of Mrs Indira Gandhi, India's former Prime Minister. Many of us failed to recognise the actor playing the role. It was revealed that Lara is portraying the character.
Now, ahead of BellBottom's release, the makers of the film shared a video that showcased Lara's transformation. This unrecognisable look from the film has stolen everyone's attention. Upon repeated requests and demands from the fans, the makers of BellBottom shared behind the scenes of what went into getting that perfect look of Lara's character.
BellBottom is set in the 80s era. It is based on a true incident and brings to life a hijack wherein 210 passengers were rescued by Indian RAW agents. The film was shot in Scotland in 2020 after the first wave of COVID-19.
BellBottom is presented by Pooja Entertainment presents in association with Emmay Entertainment. It is produced by Vashu Bhagnani, Jackky Bhagnani, Deepshikha Deshmukh, Monisha Advani, Madhu Bhojwani and Nikkhil Advani. BellBottom is written by Aseem Arrora and Parveez Shaikh. The film is directed by Ranjit M Tewari and also stars Huma Qureshi and Adil Hussain. It will release in theatres on August 19 in 2D and 3D.
