Abhishek Bachchan is a busy actor. From shooting for Bob Biswas to filming Dasvi in the middle of the pandemic, he has a promising lineup. Now, according to reports, Abhishek has signed another film. As per a leading daily's report, the actor will star in the Hindi remake of Tamil thriller Oththa Seruppu Size 7 (2019). Reportedly, Abhishek will also bankroll the remake under his production banner.
A trade source told the daily that R Parthiban, who directed Oththa Seruppu Size 7, will be helming the remake too. However, it is being said that the story will be tweaked slightly for the pan-India audience. "The project is Abhishek’s baby. From flying down to Chennai to initiate talks, to setting up the production infrastructure, he has been thoroughly involved. Parthiban, who is helming the remake, will retain the gritty flavour of the original, but will tweak it to appeal to the pan-India audience," the source told.

Reportedly, Abhishek will be sporting a distinct look. Apparently, the film has taken off in Chennai and phones aren't allowed on the set for privacy.
Oththa Seruppu Size 7 was written and directed by R Parthiban who also acted in the film. It won two awards at the 67th National Film Awards in 2019 in Special Jury and Sound Mixing categories.
