I messaged her after the film, the songs have deeply touched her: Shershaah's Kiara Advani on Captain Vikram Batra's ladylove Dimple Cheema

Kiara Advani made a place for herself in the hearts of the audience with her portrayal of Dimple Cheema in the recently released film Shershaah. She plays the role of Sidharth Malhotra a.k.a Captain Vikram Batra's ladylove. The actress, very gracefully, translated Dimple's feelings, sacrifices and emotions on celluloid. In real life, Dimple, after the unfortunate death of Captain Batra, decided to not marry. In an interview with a leading daily, Kiara said she messaged Dimple after Shershaah's release.

The actress further revealed that the songs of the film deeply touched Dimple and she must be proud that the story is resonating with people. "I messaged her after the film. This is an emotional movie for her. I want to respect her privacy right now. When I met Captain Batra’s family after the film, they said I was exactly like [Dimple]. That moved me to tears. I know the songs have deeply touched her. She must be proud that the story is resonating with people," Kiara told.
