After a gap of 5 years, Bollywood's most cherished and beloved filmmaker Karan Johar is returning to direction. Known for his family dramas, films on friendship and redefining love through the medium of cinema, Karan has a strong grip on these genres. With his directorial comeback, the filmmaker is ready to give Bollywood a film that not only brings together a great star cast but has a strong story too. Titled Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, the film stars Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan, Shabana Azmi, Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh.
Karan, who is all excited to return to the director's chair, announced that Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani went on floors today. He shared a video from the set of the film and sought blessings and love for his new venture. His caption read, "The day is finally here & I have so many feelings going on in my head but what emerges at the top is - gratitude! As we begin our kahani ka first schedule, seeking all your pyaar & aashirvaad! It’s time to roll!"
The video shared by Karan also gave a glimpse of Alia and Ranveer's looks from Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani. The actress looked stunning in sarees whereas the actor was seen in colourful and quirky outfits.
Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani was announced on Ranveer's birthday, which is July 6, this year. Exactly a month ago, Karan and Ranveer travelled to Delhi for location scouting. Produced by Dharma Productions, Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani will release in 2022.
