Akshay Kumar's BellBottom became the first big film to release after the second wave of COVID-19. The espionage thriller directed by Ranjit M Tewari released in theatres on August 19. It is yet to hit the screens in Maharashtra. Akshay and the team of BellBottom hosted a special screening of the film at a theatre in Surat for media.
After the screening, Akshay met the media virtually since he is currently in London for his next film. During the question-answer round, a news portal asked Akshay about a potential sequel to the film. The superstar replied, "Yes, if you see the way the film ended, there's definitely scope for a sequel. So, let's wait and see, if they (the makers) come with a good script, then we could work things out."
BellBottom is directed by Ranjit M Tewari. The film also stars Vaani Kapoor, Lara Dutta, Huma Qureshi and Adil Hussain. BellBottom is presented by Pooja Entertainment presents in association with Emmay Entertainment. It is produced by Vashu Bhagnani, Jackky Bhagnani, Deepshikha Deshmukh, Monisha Advani, Madhu Bhojwani and Nikkhil Advani.
Akshay is teaming up with Ranjit once again after BellBottom for a film titled Cinderella. The film is expected to go on floors in London today.
