BellBottom screened at world's highest mobile theatre in Ladakh, Akshay Kumar's 'heart swells with pride'

Akshay Kumar's film BellBottom is playing a key role in reviving theatres after back-to-back setbacks due to the COVID-19 pandemic and lockdowns. As the first big-budget Bollywood film post the second lockdown, the espionage thriller is running successfully in theatres in many parts of the country. Now, BellBottom achieved yet another feat. 

BellBottom was recently screened at a theatre in Ladakh. Reportedly, Ladakh got its first inflatable cinema with a private company, PictureTime Digiplex, installing the theatre in the union territory. It is said that it is the highest altitude theatre in the world, installed at a height of 11,562 feet. Apparently, BellBottom was screened not just for the audience but also for the army officers.

Akshay shared the news on his social media along with a picture of the theatre. He wrote, "Makes my heart swell with pride that BellBottom was screened at World’s highest mobile theatre at Leh in Ladakh. At an altitude of 11562 ft, the theatre can operate at -28 degrees C. What an amazing feat!"

BellBottom directed by Ranjit M Tewari also stars Vaani Kapoor, Lara Dutta, Huma Qureshi, Adil Hussain among others. The film is presented by Pooja Entertainment presents in association with Emmay Entertainment. It is produced by Vashu Bhagnani, Jackky Bhagnani, Deepshikha Deshmukh, Monisha Advani, Madhu Bhojwani and Nikkhil Advani. BellBottom released in theatres on August 19.
