In the month of August, Priyanka Chopra Jonas had announced her association with Italian luxury company Bulgari jewellery as the brand's global ambassador. The actress was excited and was looking forward to "wearing lots of stunning jewellery". Now, a month later, Priyanka revealed that she teamed up with Bulgari to launch a collection of mangalsutras for modern Indian women. The global star flaunted one from the collection on the cover of a magazine.
Sharing the picture from the photoshoot, Priyanka wrote, "This is a relationship that has been many years in the making, and is one that brings me such joy for so many reasons…one of which is the Mangalsutra (coming soon) that we created. Discussing with @jc.babin, @lucia_silvestri and the @bulgari team almost 3 years ago and seeing it come to fruition is such a great feeling - it’s so elegant and chic, designed for the modern Indian woman who takes charge of her own life. I’m so proud of this partnership."
In the past, Priyanka told an international publication that her mangalsutra and a diamond ring given by her late father Dr Ashok Chopra are her most precious gifts. She said, "My mangalsutra. In an Indian wedding, it’s a necklace the groom ties around the bride’s neck. And a diamond ring my dad gave me."
Priyanka is currently in London with her husband Nick Jonas. She is shooting for her upcoming series Citadel.
