Sidharth Malhotra today inaugurated the first Himalayan Film Festival in Ladakh. The film festival started with Sidharth’s and Kiara Advani’s hit film Shershaah’s screening. He inaugurated the festival with Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Anurag Thakur and shared a couple of pictures on social media.
Sidharth tweeted, “Inaugurated the 1st Himalayan Film Festival with 'Shershaah' today. It was an complete honour to have shared the stage with our honorable Union Minister for I&B, Mr.Anurag Thakur. Thank you for having us.”

On Friday, Sidharth took to Instagram Stories and posted a few videos from his flight to Ladakh. In the clips, he can be seen expressing his happiness about getting the honour to attend the festival and the prestige that Shershaah will be the inaugural film at the festival.

Directed by Vishnu Varadhan, Shershaah is based on the life of Param Vir Chakra awardee Captain Vikram Batra and recounts the tale of the 1999 Kargil war between India and Pakistan.
