Taapsee Pannu's Rashmi Rocket is set for a release on ZEE5 on October 15. The film co-starring Priyanshu Painyuli, Abhishek Banerjee and Supriya Pathak focuses on the life of Rashmi, a sprinter who has been banned due to an unreasonable test that puts a question mark on her being a woman. The trailer of the Akarsh Khurana directorial released on September 23 and now, fans are hopeful that Taapsee will be honoured with a National Award for her incredible performance. In an interview with an entertainment portal, Taapsee said she does desire a National Award but she has never lobbied even for regular awards. “Please give me one! Whom shall I ask for it? What can I do? I can only perform to my best, and that's all that I have control over. I've never lobbied even for regular awards, which is why it took so long for me to win one. So how will I be able to lobby for a National Award?" Taapsee told.

She further added, "I have no idea how to go about it other than making sure that if I don't win one this year, I'll return the next year with another performance. I have kept that attitude since 2016 when I was not acknowledged for Pink. And ever since then, my way of taking revenge has been to come back with a performance every year that's going to make you sit up and take notice of my work. That's all that I have control over, really."
Pink, directed by Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury, also starred Amitabh Bachchan, Kirti Kulhari, Andrea Tariang, Angad Bedi, Tushar Pandey, Piyush Mishra, and Dhritiman Chatterjee. The film won the Best Film on Other Social Issues at the 64th National Film Awards.
