Vicky Kaushal is being showered with critical acclaim for his performance in Shoojit Sircar's Sardar Udham. While the actor is making the right amount of noise for his choice of projects, he is also in news for his rumoured relationship with Katrina Kaif. There were strong rumours earlier this year that Vicky and Katrina got engaged in a closed-door ceremony. However, it was clarified that those rumours were not authentic.
Vicky's father Sham Kaushal, a veteran action director in Bollywood, also dismissed reports of the actor's engagement with Katrina. Now, Vicky has finally opened up about roka rumours. In an interview with a leading daily, Vicky told that he'll get engaged when the time is right. "The news was circulated by your friends[media] (laughs). I’ll get engaged soon enough, when the time is right. Uska bhi time aayega," Vicky said.
Katrina cheered for Vicky at a private screening of Sardar Udham in the city on Friday night. She reviewed the film and lauded Shoojit and Vicky. Sharing a poster on Instagram stories, Katrina wrote, "@shoojitsircar what a vision, such a gripping beautiful film, pure unadulterated storytelling - @vickykaushal09 is just pure talent, raw, honest, heartbreaking."
Vicky, who was on The Kapil Sharma Show to promote Sardar Udham, was teased by the host, Kapil Sharma. He showed Vicky a report that highlighted how he dodges media and sneaks out to meet Katrina. The report by a Hindi publication claimed that her neighbours exposed the secret. The headline was, “Katrina se milne ke liye media ko yun chakma dete hain Vicky Kaushal. Padosiyon ne kiya bhandafod." Vicky read the headline and blushed.
