Aila Re Aillaa, the pulsating song and dance number from Sooryavanshi featuring Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn and Ranveer Singh, has become the highest viewed Bollywood film song in 24 hours. The sensational number, that was released yesterday morning at 9 o’clock, garnered 29.7 million views on YouTube until 9 this morning.
This high distinction comes on a day when theatres open in Maharashtra after being shut for almost 18 months during the Covid lockdown and sets the tone for Bollywood’s festive return to mainstream theatrical entertainment this Diwali with Rohit Shetty’s cop universe action thriller Sooryavanshi.
Aila Re Aillaa overtook Nora Fatehi’s sensual number Garmi from the 2019 dance drama Street Dancer. Garmi got 24.5 million views in 24 hours. It is now relegated to second spot on this chart. At third place is Husnn Hai Suhanaa from the 2020 comedy drama Coolie No. 1 starring Varun Dhawan and Sara Ali Khan. That got 23.8 million views in the first 24 hours.
Aila Re Aillaa, according to Sooryavanshi sources, was shot in a record eight hours featuring all the artistes at Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad. It was choreographed by Bollywood’s Ganesh Master. Viewers are warned to not rise until the end of the film because Aila Re Aillaa comes with the title credits of Sooryavanshi and is not to be missed.
