Akshay Kumar turns Lord Shiva in the first poster of 'OMG 2', says 'our honest attempt to reflect on an important social issue'

Akshay Kumar has released the first look from his upcoming film OMG 2 - a follow-up to the 2012 release Oh My God (OMG). Starring Akshay along with Pankaj Tripathi and Yami Gautam, OMG 2 is being produced by Ashwin Varde and Akshay Kumar and is directed by Amit Rai.

In the first poster, Akshay turned Lord Shiva. The actor, who played Lord Krishna in the first film, captioned the post as, "Need your blessings and wishes for #OMG2, our honest and humble attempt to reflect on an important social issue. OMG: Oh My God was released in 2012. It is a satirical comedy-drama film inspired by and officially remade from the 2001 Australian film The Man Who Sued God. The storyline is based on a Gujarati stage-play entitled Kanji Virudh Kanji.

The film featured Paresh Rawal and Akshay Kumar in the lead roles, along with Mithun Chakraborty, Om Puri, Govind Namdeo, Poonam Jhawer, Puja Gupta and Mahesh Manjrekar in pivotal roles.
