Today, that is October 25, the Vice President of India, M Venkaiah Naidu, presented the 67th National Film Awards to all the recipients at an event held in Delhi. Celebrities who were honoured with the awards, arrived in style to receive their certificates.
Superstar Rajinikanth, known as Thalaiva, was conferred with the 51st Dadasaheb Phalke Award. He received the prestigious award for his stupendous contribution to the world of Indian cinema. He attended the ceremony with his wife Latha and daughter Aishwarya.

Rajinikanth's son-in-law Dhanush also received the National Film Award for Best Actor for Asuran. Dhanush shared the Best Actor award with Manoj Bajpayee, who received it for his work in Bhosle. Kangana Ranaut received the Best Actress Award for Manikarnika and Panga.

B Praak received the award in the Best Male Playback Singer category for Kesari's song Teri Mitti. Savaniee Ravindrra received the Best Female Playback Singer award for Raan Petala song.
