On September 29, PeepingMoon.com had exclusively informed its readers that Rajkummar Rao has teamed up with Anubhav Sinha for a socio-political drama. The film, titled Bheed, was announced on October 14. Bheed will be directed and co-produced by Anubhav's Benaras Mediaworks with Bhushan Kumar's T-Series.
Now, according to a leading daily's report, Bhumi Pednekar is being considered for the female lead. Reportedly, if all goes well, she will reunite with Rajkummar for another film revolving around a social issue. Bheed will be shot across Lucknow and the film is expected to go on floors after Diwali.
Bhumi and Rajkummar worked together in the sequel of Badhaai Ho titled Badhaai Do. The actors wrapped the shoot in March this year. In Badhaai Do, Bhumi plays the role of a PT Teacher, whereas Raj will be essaying the role of a cop.
Recently, Bhumi wrapped the shoot of Raksha Bandhan. She has been signed for Shah Rukh Khan-owned Red Chillies Entertainment's film Bhakshak. Currently, Bhumi is shooting for Shashank Khaitan's film with Vicky Kaushal and Kiara Advani. Rajkummar is awaiting the release of Hum Do Hamare Do. He will be seen in Netflix's Monica, O My Darling and HIT's Hindi remake.
