Paresh Rawal wants to get rid of Baburao's image, says in Hera Pheri 2 'zyada hi hoshiyari dikha rahe the apni and it did not work'

Paresh Rawal immortalised the character Baburao from Priyadarshan's film franchise Hera Pheri. The character struck the right chord with the audience, who often re-introduce and revisit his dialogues through hilarious memes and videos. Now, amid much anticipation for Hera Pheri 3, Paresh said he wants to get rid of Baburao's image now.

In an interview with a news portal, the veteran actor said he is tired of being known as Baburao and of all the memes and videos made on the iconic character. "But I am tired of that. Sick and tired of that," Paresh told. He further added that Baburao's character was made to look over smart in Hera Pheri 2 but it didn't work. "What happened was, in Hera Pheri 2, we were very over smart. Zyada hi hoshiyari dikha rahe the apni. And, it did not work," he shared.

Paresh praised Suniel Shetty for staying honest with the character. The actor said, "Except one guy was working. Who was very earnest-- Suniel Shetty. He never wanted to prove anything so he was standing out. Aur hum, ..dekha...bahut gandgi ho gai thi (It all got too dirty)."

Paresh hoped that in Hera Pheri 3, they keep the innocence of the character intact. "Jab kabhi bhi hota hai (Hera Pheri 3), ek to innocence chahiye wo nahi tha….wo tha hi nahi. Gandgi ho gai (Whenever that happens, it will need innocence. That wasn’t there anymore. It all got too dirty). In fact, I would like to get rid of that image. Truly," he stated.

Currently, Paresh is busy promoting his upcoming film titled Hum Do Hamare Do. His co-stars are Ratna Pathak, Kriti Sanon and Rajkummar Rao. The Abhishek Jain-directorial will release on Disney+Hotstar on October 29.
