After 26 stressful days, Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan got to breathe a sigh of relief. Their son Aryan Khan was granted bail by the Bombay High Court on October 28. He was in custody after the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) conducted a 'raid' on a cruise. The 23-year-old will be released from Arthur Road Jail today. Now, India's former Attorney General Mukul Rohatgi, who represented Aryan in the Bombay High Court, revealed Shah Rukh's first reaction to the news of his son's bail.
Talking to a news portal, Mr Rohatgi told Shah Rukh had 'tears of joy' on hearing the news. The former Attorney General shared, "He has been very, very worried the last three-four days that I was there and I'm not even sure whether he had proper meals. He was just having coffee after coffee. And he was very, very worried. And I could see a big sense of relief, yeah, on the father's face last time I met him."
Mr Rohatgi further said, "Unfortunately, they had lost in the lower court. So it came to the High Court and one month has gone by. And the parents were very, very worried. That is why they were taking a very great interest in the case."
He revealed that Shah Rukh supported the legal team fully and had "given up all his professional activities" to focus on the case completely. "He was very much available at all times. He was in fact making notes to help his legal team," Mr Rohatgi stated.
