Sooryavanshi: Akshay Kumar’s fans dance outside theatres on dhol beats and burst firecrackers; Rohit Shetty’s film brings festive cheer to everyone

Akshay Kumar’s and Katrina Kaif’s cop drama Sooryavanshi finally released in theatres today breaking a long drought imposed in the wake of coronavirus pandemic. The theatres opened after a long time since the lockdown was imposed last year and brought festive cheer on Diwali not only for the film industry but also for the fans who queued up outside the cinema halls to watch Rohit Shetty’s directorial.

Released after 20 months of its initially planned release date, Sooryavanshi arrived in cinemas this Diwali and resulted in a lot of fan frenzy both in and outside theatres with housefull boards seen at the entrance of several film halls. The fans of the actors gathered outside cinema halls in Mumbai with dhols, colour smoke bombs and cake to celebrate Sooryavanshi’s release. Check out some of the videos going viral on the internet.

Sooryavanshi has raked in positive reviews from the critics as well as the audience. The film also stars Ranveer Singh and Ajay Devgn in cameo appearances as well as Gulshan Grover.

It is produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions and Rohit Shetty’s Rohit Shetty Picturez in collaboration with Cape of Good Films.
