Sushmita Sen's brother Rajeev Sen and his wife, actress Charu Asopa, have stepped into the phase of parenthood. They have a daughter, who was born right before Diwali. Fans were curiously waiting for Rajeev and Charu to unveil the baby's face as well as her name. On Saturday, the new parents in town organised a puja at home and named their daughter too.
On Instagram, Rajeev and Charu shared some beautiful family photos and revealed the name of their daughter as Ziana. Rajeev wrote, "Welcoming our daughter Ziana Sen to our family," whereas Charu's caption read, "A picture with ZIANA SEN (sic)"
On her YouTube channel, Charu uploaded a live chat session that was conducted on her and Rajeev's respective Instagram accounts. In the video, the couple revealed the meaning of Ziana. They told, "Ziana means brave and bold with a lot of grace. This name signifies that the child will be protected by God." Charu and Rajeev thanked their fans for sending in beautiful names for their daughter. However, they locked Ziana on Sushmita's daughter Alisah Sen's suggestion.
Charu said in the video, "So basically, Didi (Sushmita) had thought of names for a baby boy and a baby girl. In the names suggested for a boy, we loved Ziaan. When we were blessed with a girl, Didi told us that Alisah has suggested Ziana. So, that’s how we decided on it." Rajeev praised his niece Alisah and added, "She is so little herself but the way she wrote the meaning of the name, she beautifully explained the name. I love you Alisah for such a beautiful name." The new parents stated, "Whenever we will make you meet her, you will know that the name fits perfectly on her."
Charu and Rajeev welcomed Ziana on November 1. Bua Sushmita announced the news and wrote, "Lakshmi arrives just before Diwali!! IT’S A GIRL!!!! Congratulations @asopacharu & @rajeevsen9 …what a beauty she is!!! I BECAME A BUA THIS MORNING #sooooooohapppyyyyyy. Not allowed to share baby pictures yet, so sharing mine from just before Charu delivered our little Angel. I was blessed to witness it!!! Thank you Doctor @rishmapai for making this such a beautiful & peaceful experience!! You’re just the BEST!!! CONGRATULATIONS to Asopa & Sen family, 3 grandchildren, all girls!!!"
