Shilpa Shetty, in a statement on Twitter, has reacted to an alleged FIR filed against her, husband Raj Kundra and a person named Kaashif Khan. The actress broke her silence and set the record straight. In her statement, Shilpa clarified that SFL Fitness was a venture operated by Kaashif and all the deals and transactions were done by him. Shilpa further stated that she and Raj were not aware of any of the transactions nor received any money from him.
"Woke up to an FIR registered in Raj and my name! Shocked! To set the record straight, SFL Fitness, a venture run by Kaashif Khan. He had taken naming rights of brand SFL to open SFL Fitness Gyms around the country. All deals were struck by him & he was a signatory in banking & day to day affairs. We are not aware of any of his transactions nor have we received a single rupee from him for the same. All franchisees dealt directly with Kaashif. The company closed in 2014 and was entirely handled by Kaashif Khan. I have worked very hard over the last 28 years and it pains me to see that my reputation is getting damaged and dragged so loosely to get eyeballs. My rights as a law-abiding citizen in India should be protected," Shilpa wrote in the statement.
