Akshay Kumar, with Prithviraj, is all set to tell the tale of Samrat Prithviraj Chauhan who stood strong and battled against Muhammad of Ghor and his ruthless invaders of India. The film went on floors exactly 2 years ago. Today, finally, the first look teaser of Prithviraj was released. The film directed by Dr Chandraprakash Dwivedi also stars Manushi Chhillar, Sanjay Dutt and Sonu Sood.
The teaser of Prithviraj introduces us to India's brave soldier Samrat Prithviraj Chauhan, played by Akshay. Sanjay is Muhammad of Ghor whereas Manushi plays the role of Sanyogita in her Bollywood debut. Sharing the teaser, Akshay wrote, "A heroic story about pride and valour. In a statement, Akshay said, “The teaser of Prithviraj captures the soul of the film, the essence of the life of the legendary warrior Samrat Prithviraj Chauhan who knew no fear. This is our tribute to his heroism and his life. The more I read about him, the more I was awed by how he lived and breathed every single second of his glorious life for his country and his values.”

Produced by Yash Raj Films, Prithviraj is directed by Dr Chandraprakash Dwivedi who directed the biggest television epic Chanakya – based on the life and times of the most influential political strategist of India and the multiple award-winning Pinjar. Prithviraj will release worldwide on January 21, 2022.
