The sequel of Amit Sharma's Badhaai Ho titled Badhaai Do is ready for a theatrical release. Starring Rajkummar Rao and Bhumi Pednekar, the film has been directed by Harshavardhan Kulkarni. As 2022 is inching closer, fans of the actors are excited to watch them together on the big screen. Badhaai Do was scheduled to release on Republic Day next year. However, now, the film will hit silver screens on February 4, 2022.
In a statement, the makers of Badhaai Do said, "Love has a new date! Badhaai Do will now release on the big screen in the month of love. The new release date for the film shall be February 4, 2022. We cannot wait for you to witness this family entertainer on the big screen. See you at the movies."
In December 2020, PeepingMoon.com had exclusively informed its readers that Badhaai Do is based on Lavender marriage. It is described as a marriage between a man and a woman in which one or both parties are homosexual. A source close to the project informed us exclusively that the film revolves around gay and lesbian characters played by Rajkummar and Bhumi respectively. They get married to each other due to their family pressure.
Badhaai Do is produced by Junglee Pictures, helmed by Harshavardhan Kulkarni and written by Akshat Ghildial and Suman Adhikary.
